Frequently asked questions
Account and sign-in
How do I create an account?
Register with your email and a password, or continue with Google. Every new account is a candidate account. Committee and staff accounts are created by invitation only.
What makes a valid password?
At least 8 characters, with an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number and a symbol. A checklist under the field turns each rule green as you type.
Why do I keep returning to my profile page?
Your profile must be complete before you can use the rest of your account. Only the missing fields are shown. Once you save them, you can continue.
My account is locked. What now?
After 5 wrong passwords in a row the account locks for 15 minutes, then for 1 hour, and after repeated failures it stays locked. An unlock link is emailed to you each time, and you can always request a new one from the sign-in page.
Can I use the site in Bahasa Indonesia?
Yes. Use EN / ID in the header. Your choice is saved to your account when you are signed in. Exam questions stay in English for every candidate.
Applying
Can I apply to more than one program?
You can have one active application at a time. When it ends, you can apply to the next program that opens.
How do I know if I am eligible?
Each program page lists who can apply. In your account, programs you are not eligible for are greyed out with the reason.
Which documents should I prepare?
Each program lists its required documents. Files can be PDF, JPG or PNG, up to 5 MB each.
Do I have to finish the application in one go?
No. Your draft is saved automatically, and you can come back and finish it before the deadline.
Can I change my application after I submit it?
No. Before you submit, you check your answers and confirm that you understand there is no going back. You then get a registration number and a proof of submission.
How does a recommendation letter work?
If the program asks for one, you add a referee. They receive a single-use link to upload the letter directly. They do not need an account.
The online test
When will I know my test schedule?
You get an email when your test is scheduled, and reminders 24 hours and 1 hour before it starts. Your account shows a countdown and the rules.
How do I prepare my device?
Run the system check in your account. It tests your browser, fullscreen, connection and a sample PDF upload, and shows you how to fix any problem.
Can I start the test early?
No. The test opens only at its start time, for everyone. Changing your device clock does not help.
What if my connection drops?
Open the test again and you return to the same questions with your saved answers. The clock keeps running while you are away, and answers save automatically every few seconds.
How do I answer an essay question?
Type your answer, or upload a PDF from your computer or by scanning a QR code with your phone. You submit one of the two.
What is monitored during the test?
Things like leaving the tab, pasting text, or using a second screen are recorded. You may see a warning on screen. A person reviews every flag, and the system never ends a test or changes a score by itself.
Results, interview and offer
How will I get my results?
Results for each stage are published together, and you get a notification and an email. The result is always shown first, followed by what happens next.
Will I know why I did not pass?
Yes. A Not selected result includes brief feedback, for example that a required document was missing.
Can I choose or move my interview time?
No. The committee schedules interviews and sends the date, time and online link or venue. Missing the interview counts as not selected, so contact the committee early in an emergency.
What happens if I am awarded?
You receive an offer with the award letter and terms. You have 7 days to accept by uploading the signed letter.
Appeals and fairness
Can I appeal a result?
Only a Screening result can be appealed, and only if you believe the committee made a mistake, for example a document that was present but marked missing.
How do I submit an appeal?
Use the appeal page within 3 working days of the published result. Write a statement of up to 1,000 characters. You cannot add or change documents, and you can appeal once.
How is the selection kept fair?
Essays are graded without names, reviewers are assigned at random with conflicts of interest excluded, interview panels do not see test scores, and every candidate gets their own version of the test.
Privacy and notifications
How is my personal data used?
Only to run the selection. You give your consent before you submit, and documents are stored privately. Personal documents of candidates who are not awarded are deleted after a fixed period once the program closes.
Which emails will I receive?
Emails about your own application, such as results, schedules and offers, are always sent. Emails about new programs can be turned off with the unsubscribe link.
